Ridgefield First Saturday Paddle Tours

Every 1st Saturday of the month the town of Ridgefield, Washington has a celebration!

Come enjoy music, fun, food, family-friendly activities and a sense of community at downtown Ridgefield’s First Saturdays! Participate in theme-related events and activities that include local artists displaying their work, sidewalk chalk drawing contests, athletic events, and other pop-up activities. You’ll also find the Farmer’s Market, sidewalk sales, outdoor concerts, local eateries and food vendors to enhance the festive atmosphere.

As part of the fun we will be offering discounted kayak and stand up paddle board tours that will focus on something new each month.  Come spot Bald Eagles in Feb, or Tundra Swans in March.  Come celebrate Earth Day with a paddle tour and wildlife tour.  We will have something different each month!

BIG PADDLE DAY

Ridgefield is celebrating the river on June 1st, 2019 with its Eighth Annual BIG Paddle.

Enjoy a pancake breakfast in downtown Ridgefield and then head to the Port for a two hour canoe, kayak or paddleboard adventure OR enjoy other festivities like vendors at Paddler’s Village at the Port, a Totally Awesome Scavenger Challenge around the Ridgefield area, live music with Chicamarimba, a beer garden, an obstacle course for all ages, First Saturday events including a Farmer’s Market in historic downtown Ridgefield and a “Follow the Fish” trail connecting the two areas.

BIRDFEST BLUEGRASS PADDLE

Join experienced guides and paddle north on Lake River, 2.5 miles for a natural history tour of the refuge and wildlife along the Lewis and Clark trail. We will lunch on the beach overlooking the Columbia River and linger as we watch for Great Bald Eagles and migrating Sandhill Cranes. Children free when accompanied by an adult in a double kayak. Bring your own lunch, binocs, rain gear always, dry set of clothes for the car. Check-in begins at 10am Paddle begins at 11am Meet at the Ridgefield Marina, 5 Mill Street.
